Which pieces should I include in my portfolio?
Can the pieces be one of a kind or standardized designs?

The site is not dictated by seasons, colors, popular styles or any of the traditional retail standards set by the fashion industry.

Any pieces that you have from past or present collections are welcome.We are looking for unique, non-traditional, “what makes you different from the rest” types of design. You have the choice to list:

  • “one offs”
  • pieces that are still original but can be produced in multiple quantities (see process below)

How are designers selected to be featured on I Represent Fashion.com?

  • Go to the “Post Your Portfolio” page
  • Complete step #1 – fill in your personal information
  • Complete step #2 – submit artwork and description
  • Post as many pieces you feel represents your brand in its entirety (includes past/preset/future collections)
  • Portfolios will be reviewed and all designers will be contacted within two (2) weeks after submitting portfolio
  • Selected designers will then be sent the Terms and Conditions of I Represent Fashion.com

What if I have problems uploading my images on I Represent Fashion.com?

  • If for any reason you experience problems uploading your artwork, please e-mail your jpeg along with current contact information to info@irepresentfashion.com.

Are there fees associated with the site?

  • There are no fees to upload your selected designs
  • I Represent Fashion.com functions as an exclusive on-line retail store and will add a standard retail markup to your wholesale price

How do I receive payment?

  • Once the item is shipped to the buyer, the designer will then receive payment
  • When three months of consistent, reliable transactions and ratings have been recorded (based on certain quantities) for a designer, I Represent Fashion.com will modify the payment policy and provide the designer 50% of their wholesale price upfront to cover production costs. The remaining 50% of their wholesale price will be received once the item is shipped to the buyer. All details will be listed in Terms and Conditions
  • All payments will be processed through the Amazon.com marketplace. Fraud protection, payment methods, privacy, and security as well as all features when purchasing thru Amazon.com will be applied to I Represent Fashion.com

What are the selling price points?

  • Categories vary on I Represent Fashion.com. We are not setting limits to price points but prices have to be competitive within your genre
  • If necessary, I Represent Fashion.com can advise on appropriate pricing based on each designers brand identity

Who stocks and ships the orders?

  • You, as the designer, will be shipping the orders to the buyers directly
  • Once an item is sold, the designer will be sent an email containing the buyers information
  • I Represent Fashion.com has a “buy now” feature that avoids the shopping cart mentality and allows the buyer instant access to the one of a kind designs

How can I sell more than one of the same product?

  • If a design is able to be replicated either exactly or a 10% variance from the original piece, a production limit will be set by you and an order sheet will be provided per design detailing each buyers shipping and size information. This enables buyers to pre-purchase the desired piece.
  • This first-come, first-serve method not only makes your product more desirable, but it will allow you production time for pre-orders. In addition, each piece is only listed one time, detailing the quantity you have pre-set. For example…you list a purple shirt with a pink bird on it and know you can make 100 of these. The item will be listed on the site and once the 100 is at capacity based on the order sheet, the item will then be removed and will not be listed again
  • I Represent Fashion.com will not be stocking any merchandise. This is a store front for you, the designer
  • Once the piece is sold, delivery must take place within thirty (30) days from purchase date

I already have a showroom contract or other agreement to sell my work. Can I also sell my work on this Site?

Unfortunately, this is a legal question that has no simple, uniform answer. Whether you can also sell your work on the Site depends on the scope of your existing agreement. Some agreements may prohibit you from selling on this Site, and some may not. It is your obligation to read, understand and comply with the terms of your existing agreement. IRepresentFashion.com cannot provide legal advice to you about your agreement or whether it prohibits you from selling your work on the Site.

What are the demographics of the buyers/target audience?

Buyers who are looking for items that enhance their individuality. There is no set demographic, the creative mind is limitless!

How will the site be promoted?

  • Each selected designer will be asked to provide at least two (2) samples from their line (Samples are not guaranteed to be returned to the submitting designer)
  • I Represent Fashion will be contacting editors of fashion-related weekly/monthly, national, and international publications, television, and other media to promote the designers (and their brands) of I Represent Fashion.com
  • I Represent Fashion.com’s in-house PR Director has pre-established relationships with various fashion editors/producers and will be responsible for submitting the designers information and samples for promotional purposes
  • Celebrity product placement
  • Cross promotion on Amazon.com
  • Word of mouth
  • Street teams at fashion related events
  • On-Line advertising on fashion sites
  • Incentive programs at universities
  • Many promotion activities will take place throughout the year

What other designers will be featured on I Represent Fashion.com?

How is this linked with Amazon.com?

  • I Represent Fashion.com is built with Amazon.com technology
  • Once your portfolio is posted and accepted on I Represent Fashion.com, it will be automatically positioned on Amazon.com in the appropriate section, enabling your piece to be viewed by over 40 million Amazon.com customers
  • All payments will be processed thru the Amazon.com marketplace. Fraud protection, payment methods, privacy, and security as well as all features when purchasing thru Amazon.com will be applied to I Represent Fashion.com
  • Due to the affiliation with Amazon.com, who is established as one of the largest retailers in the world, the designer has the benefit of being associated with a secure brand, at the same time, allowing the designer the freedom to keep the integrity of their designs

How do I contact I Represent Fashion.com?

Can shipments be made from my company of any of my line to any international addresses?

Currently, IRO is not set up for international shipping, but eventually will be. This does not restrict any shipping program you already have in place. It only temporarily limits international shipments with IRO at this time.

What is 'Listing Expiration Dates'? Can you remove any item on the date you confirm my request of removing any item?

To remove an item from the site, you just need to send an email to support@irepresentfashion.com. Again, I estimate the turn around time for this to be 24 hours.

Why do I need to provide I Represent Fashion.com with interactive media?

I Represent Fashion.com feels it is necessary that the buyers are connected to the designer by hearing/watching the designer’s vision, design process, explanation of materials, design history and what separates them from the rest. This way the customer can truly appreciate the quality and uniqueness of each piece. All details will be listed in Terms and Conditions.

How long is each item listed and what if it doesn’t sell?

  • Each selected piece is listed on the site for one month
  • If a piece does not sell, it is simply removed from the site and cannot be re-listed

About how long it does it take for you to update the description of the item(s) if any of the item details are changed?

We have a staff of technical pros so updating won't take long at all. My best guess at this point would be 24 hours.

How do I view all items I have sold?

I Represent Fashion will forward the designers a notice once their products are sold.

How do I report abuse of I Represent Fashion.com‘s Terms of Use or Privacy Policy?

You may send an email to disputes@irepresentfashion.com. Each dispute will be taken seriously and dealt with promptly.
